Suizhou, known as a "state to the east of the Han River" in ancient times, enjoys a long history, splendid culture, beautiful scenery, and abundant products. It is a historically and culturally famous city in Hubei province, China. Known as the hometown of Yan Emperor Shennong and chime bells, Suizhou is also home to mushrooms and cymbidium and a city of special purpose vehicles in China. The long-standing culture pioneered by Shennong, the culture built around the music of chime bells, the culture of the ancient States of Zeng and Sui, and the Buddhist culture constitute the prevailing cultural features of Suizhou.

The Millennium Ginkgo Valley Scenic Area is home to the best-preserved ancient ginkgo community in the world, where there are more than 20,000 ginkgo trees over 100 years old and more than 300 ginkgo trees over 1,000 years old, with the oldest tree aged nearly 3,000 years. In the golden autumn season, the thousand-year-old ginkgoes and the ten-li gallery always make tourists linger on with no thought of leaving for home.
