　　The publication of How Children Can Be Eco-citizens was initiated by the Yichang Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China and the Yichang Municipal People’s Government. The book was co-edited by more than 10 government departments, including the Municipal Education Bureau and the Environmental Protection Bureau, aiming to serve as an education book about ecological environmental protection for students in Yichang. How Children Can Be Eco-citizens (Children's Edition) tells six environmental protection stories closely related to children’s life, such as "Sturgeon Going Home", in the form of painting and cartoon images, making it more readable to the children. Through explanation, How Children Can Be Eco-citizens (Primary School Edition) (Middle School Edition) enables students to understand basic ecological knowledge, acquire necessary ecological skills, develop good ecological habits, establish scientific ecological concepts, be familiar with the ecological culture, and consciously practice eco-friendly behaviours
