　　中国五千年悠久文化，诗词是中华民族灿烂文化的瑰宝，是中国文化博大精深的体现，是阐述心灵的文学艺术。千百年来，中国古代留下了大量的优美诗篇，众多好诗词流传在人间。习近平总书记在党的十九大报告中明确提出：“深入挖掘中华优秀传统文化蕴含的思想观念、人文精神、道德规范，结合时代要求继承创新，让中华文化展现出永久魅力和时代风采。”中华优秀传统文化是中华民族的血脉和基因，是构筑“中国梦”和中华民族伟大复兴的坚强基石。

　　基于此，《奇妙的诗词》以“赏中华诗词、寻文化基因、品生活之美”为宗旨，通过对诗词知识的比拼及赏析，带动全民重温曾经学过的古诗词，分享诗词之美，感受诗词之趣，从古人的智慧和情怀中汲取营养，涵养心灵。节目通过选手开放式答题，对传统诗词“品读”，增加传统诗词在现实生活中的应用，并与现代的诸多新词汇、新现象产生“意义共鸣”，生动展现经典活在当下的魅力，拓展传统诗词在当今时代的意义外延与应用范围。节目每期通过五位选手的三关比拼，产生最后的“诗魁”。来自全国各大高校及文化界的专家、学者、诗人予以现场解题和扩展，让选手和观众在“知其所以然”的基础上触类旁通，学习和了解诗词文化，品读诗词背后的故事。

　　With a long culture of 5,000 years in China, poetry is the treasure of the splendid culture of the Chinese nation, the embodiment of the extensive and profound Chinese culture, and the literature and art of expounding our minds. For thousands of years, a large number of beautiful poems have been left in ancient China, and many good poems have been handed down in the world. General Secretary Xi Jinping clearly stated in the report of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China: “We should deeply explore the ideological concepts, humanistic spirit and moral norms contained in China's outstanding traditional culture, and inherit and innovate Chinese traditional culture in light of the requirements of the times, to show its lasting charm and style of the times.” China's outstanding traditional culture is the blood and gene of the Chinese nation, and is the strong cornerstone for building the “Chinese Dream” and the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.

　　Based on this, Wonderful Poetry, for the purpose of “appreciating Chinese poetry, exploring cultural genes and experiencing the beauty of life”, is produced to encourage the whole people to review the ancient poetry they have learned, share the beauty of poetry, feel the interest of poetry, and draw nutrition from the wisdom and feelings of the ancients to cultivate their hearts through the competition and appreciation of poetry knowledge. Through the open-ended answers of contestants, traditional poetry will be appreciated to increase their application in real life, and generate “meaning resonance” with many new words and phenomena in modern times, vividly displaying the charm of classic poetry living in the present, and expanding the meaning extension and application of traditional poetry in today's era. During each episode of the program, five contestants will compete in three passes to produce the final “winner”. Experts, scholars and poets from universities and cultural circles in China will solve and expand problems on the spot, so that contestants and audiences can learn and understand poetry culture and appreciate the stories behind poetry on the basis of “knowing why”.
