　　《伟大的母亲》通过讲述葛健豪和她的子女们为共产主义事业抛头颅洒热血的精彩人生，勾勒出中国共产党先驱艰难的探索、觉醒历程。这个家庭走出了蔡和森、向警予、蔡畅、李富春四位我党卓越的领导人，这个家庭共有三位儿女为革命事业壮烈牺牲。本剧以英雄母亲葛健豪的革命一生为主线，浓缩从辛亥革命开始至中国共产党建党前后中国波澜壮阔的历史进程，她带领子女一生追寻革命真理，为党和人民献出毕生的力量。她去世后毛泽东主席亲笔题词赞誉：“老妇人，新妇道;儿英烈，女英雄!”

　　Great Mother depicts the arduous exploration and awakening process of the pioneers of the Communist Party of China by telling the wonderful life of Ge Jianhao and her children who pledge their lives for the cause of communism. This family cultivated four outstanding leaders of the Party, namely Cai Hesen, Xiang Jingyu, Cai Chang and Li Fuchun, three of whom died heroically for the revolutionary cause. This play focuses on the revolutionary life of the heroic mother Ge Jianhao, concentrating the magnificent historical process of China from the beginning of the Revolution of 1911 to before and after the founding of the Communist Party of China. She led her children to pursue the revolutionary truth all their lives, and dedicate their whole life to the party and the people. After her death, Chairman Mao Zedong personally wrote an inscription to praise her: “Old Woman, Modern Woman; Martyr, Heroine!”
