　　襄阳古城，国家历史文化名城，位于湖北省西北部、汉江中游南岸，已有2800多年建制历史，是楚文化、汉文化、三国文化的主要发源地。襄阳因其独特的地理位置，自古就是经济军事要地，素有“华夏第一城池”、“铁打的襄阳”、“兵家必争之地”之称。千百年来，襄阳城凭借南北汇通的区域优势，显示出不同的历史个性：战时兵戎相见、剑拔弩张、血洒疆场;和平时又能融合创新、安居乐业、欣欣向荣。深谙“汇通南北、崇文尚义”的襄阳人将襄阳城打造成为既是固若金汤的城池，亦是富甲一方的福地。

　　Xiangyang Ancient City, a famous historic and cultural city in China, is located in the northwest of Hubei Province and on the south bank of the middle reaches of the Han River. It has a history of more than 2,800 years and is the main origin place of Chu culture, Han culture and Three Kingdoms' culture. Xiangyang has been an important economic and military place since ancient times because of its unique geographical location, known as “First City in China”, “Iron Xiangyang” and “Strategic Military”. For thousands of years, Xiangyang City has shown different historical characteristics by virtue of the regional advantages of the convergence of the north and the south: in wartime, meeting on the battlefield, fighting fiercely and bleeding on the battlefield; at peace, integrating innovation, living and working in peace and contentment and flourishing. Xiangyang people who are well versed in “connecting the north and the south, and advocating culture and righteousness” have made Xiangyang a solid city and a blessed place of wealth.
