　　广播剧《大江奔流》讲述的是宜田化工(原型为田田化工)在 破除“化工围江”过程中，以“老柳”为首的68名转岗工人从坚决抵制到理解支持并在陈原初(市政府工作组负责人)帮助下重新就业的过程 。从老一辈长江守护者陈长江到新一代三峡蚁工志愿者柳书燕，宜昌人用自己的实际行动保护着母亲河。

　　作品自推出以来，受到社会各界人士的广泛好评。北京电影学院教授，中国电影表演学会副秘书长刘诗兵评价作品，是一部“把鲜活滚烫的事件性生活与新时代的脉博艺术而生动地融合之后，在极短时间内转化记录时代、讴歌英雄的艺术精品。”著名屈原文化研究学者郑承志说：“作品强烈的现实主义精神，实现了紧扣时代脉搏、培育艺术精品、引领时代风骚的效果”。该剧被湖北省广播电视局评选为“2019年全省广播电视节(栏)目创新创优扶持项目”一类项目。

　　The radio drama The Flowing River tells a story about Yitian Chemical Company (based on a true story about Tiantian Chemical Company). In the country’s campaign against chemical industrial pollution to the rivers, 68 workers, led by Mr. Liu, went through a process from resolute resistance to understanding and support, and with the help of Chen Yuanchu (the official in charge of the municipal government’s working group), the workers managed to find new jobs. From Chen Changjiang, the guardian of the Yangtze River of the older generation, to Liu Shuyan, a volunteer worker at the Three Gorges of the new generation, the Yichang people protect their mother river with their own practical actions.

　　The work was well received since being on air by people from all walks of life. Liu Shibing, a professor at Beijing Film Academy and deputy secretary-general of China Academy of Film Performing Arts, commented that the work is a fine art that "vividly integrates the ordinary eventive life of people with the art of the new era, typically represents the older generations and sings high for the merits of the heroes at the time, although is produced in a very limited period of time.” Zheng Chengzhi, a famous scholar of Qu Yuan culture, said that “the work presented a strong sense of realism, which kept up with the times, and was artistically influential and trend-setting.” The drama was rated by Hubei Provincial Radio and Television Bureau as a first-class innovative and quality project of the "2019 Hubei Radio and Television Program (Column)".
