本书由传统节日篇、传统艺术篇、民间故事篇、成语故事篇、名胜古迹篇、饮食文化篇、人物故事篇、科技成就篇八个篇章构成，呈现了 120万字的英语阅读材料 ,并配套数字资源。由著名英语教育专家程晓堂教授和张祖春教授担纲丛书总主编，从培育和践行社会主义核心价值观及新课标培养学生核心素养的要求出发，围绕“用英语讲中国故事”这个主题，组织 40余位英语教授，特、高级教师分类别编写以中华优秀传统文化和科技成就为背景的英语短文，将弘扬中华优秀传统文化和英语语言学习相结合。

　　

　　This set of books presents 1.2 million words of English reading materials and some related digital resources which consists of eight chapters: traditional festival, traditional art, folk tales, idiom stories, historical sites, food culture, character stories, and scientific achievements. The famous English education experts professor Cheng Xiaotang and professor Zhang Zuchun ,who are the chief editors, focus on the theme of telling Chinese stories in English from the cultivation and practice of socialist core values and the new curriculum standards to cultivate students' core qualities.
