《书法报》于 1983 年 11 月试刊，1984 年 1 月正式创刊，是我国创刊最早、影响最广、发行量最大的书法专业报。曾荣获中国书法最高奖——兰亭奖(编辑岀版奖)，行销全国及海外 20 多个国家和地区，被誉为“中国书法第一报”。

　　书法报社现有《书法报》《书法报· 书画天地》《书法报· 书画教育》《书法报· 硬笔书法》 。 《书法报》系列报纸专注艺术高度、学术深度，兼顾大众性和普及性，加强策划和创意，强化服务与互动，不断提升品质。相继成立书法报社书道文化有限公司、书法报互联网股份有限公司、书法报视频媒体有限公司。注重新媒体的建设，积极探索数字化转型升级，在书法业界率先打造“一网五际”融媒体平台 ;创新经营理念，开发书法衍生品近 200 余种。
