　　民间文学的重要价值日益受到重视，刘守华以民间故事研究为重点，出版论著10余种。根据有关学人建议，从已出版的代表性成果中，选取数种，构成《刘守华故事学文集》出版，总字数约400万。它们既有对故事学这一民间文艺学分支基本原理的构建，也有对中国古今贯通的故事史的全景叙说，还有对跨国跨民族的比较故事学。作者还将湖北具有代表性的一系列故事类型和故事讲述家推向国家非遗保护名录，因而受到国家文化部和湖北省人民政府的表彰。

　　The value of folk literature has been attached more and more importance. The author focuses on the folk stories research and has finished more than ten books. The collected works include not only the construction of folktale, which is the branch of folk stories, but also the comprehensive narration of the stories history of China, and the comparative folktale study. It aims to put all the series of representative story types and story-teller into National List of Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection
