Manchu Han Imperial Feast, a Chinese-style comic book consisting of 6 volumes, highlights the outstanding Chinese traditional food culture and promotes the original local culture.
It tells the story of an insignificant and ordinary person named Feng Erfu who became a legendary chef of the imperial kitchen after going through many twists and turns. It reproduces the grand spectacle in the most flourishing period of Chinese “food” culture through the eyes of Feng Erfu in a relaxed and dignified manner, enabling the readers to get some idea of and to appreciate the extremely rich flavors of Chinese cuisines through descriptions of the splendid historical fragments such as the choicest delicacies of sea and land, ordinary between-meal nibbles, delicacies on imperial banquet and feast, and meals on the table of common people.
