　　广播剧《峡江儿女》以长江大保护为时代背景，讲述了新时代下的95后年轻干部为保护长江生态环境做出的努力和转变。

　　该广播剧对峡江边的史料与典型人物进行了深度挖掘和创作，走遍宜昌的山山水水，挖掘长江边的鲜活故事。这里有悲歌击筑的地方解放史、有震惊世界的伟大工程、有壮士断腕般的沿江化工拆迁、有胸怀天下的珍稀植物大保护、有真金不换的禁渔禁捕故事、有翻天覆般地的乡村振兴。

　　广播剧《峡江儿女》创作中将独具宜昌地方特色的非物质文化遗产“峡江号子”、“三音歌”进行二次创作，将非遗文化与广播剧创作进行深度融合。广播剧还选用了由熊召政作词、王原平作曲，徐千惠演唱的《家住长江边》贯穿始终，再次展现长江儿女对母亲河的深情厚爱及全力守护的坚定决心。

　　The Tales of Xiajiang River is a radio play that tells about endeavors made by young cadres born after 1995 to protect the ecological environment of the Yangtze River in the context of comprehensive conservation of the Yangtze River.

　　To tell vivid stories about the Yangtze River, the production crew went deep into historical data and the characteristics of typical characters and travelled to many places in Yichang. The radio draws attention to the solemn and stirring history of liberation of the localities, world-shaking projects, the prompt and resolute move of demolishing chemical plants along the Yangtze River, conservation of rare plants out of concern for nature, costly but worthwhile fishing closures, and radical rural revitalization.

　　The radio play is an artistic creation deeply integrated with intangible cultural heritage like "Chanteys of Watermen on the Yangtze River" and "Sanyinge" (folk song with three pitches) unique to Yichang. The song Living by the Yangtze River, written by Xiong Zhaozheng, composed by Wang Yuanping and sung by Xu Qianhui, is used throughout the performance, underlining the deep affection of Chinese people for the Yangtze River and their resolution to conserve the mother river with all their strength.
